About RTI

Reflectance Transformation Imaging (RTI) is a technique that uses a digital camera in order to take series of photographs of an object each with a different light position. A free software package originally developed at Hewlett-Packard Labs, and refined at the University of Minho, Portugal, is then used to combine the information from the forty or so images to produce a single three-dimensional rendering of the surface.

We are currently running a workshop supported by a Community Service Learning Engagement Grant at Queen’s Univ.
